Thirteenth Day (July 1, 2017)

On this day, I finished putting spines on all the remaining B.S. Health Sciences CDs except for some that have no spine labels yet to save sticker papers. I have not shelved them yet. Also, I started putting labels on B.S. Chemistry [with Materials Science and Engineering].

Twelfth Day (June 30, 2017)

On this day, I finally finished labeling and shelving all the remaining A.B. Communication CDs. Then, I started putting spines on A.B. Interdisciplinary Studies and B.S. Health Sciences CDs. More than 300 jewel cases arrived today.

However, archival services were closed from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM due to a digitization workshop held at the Rizal Library. I did not attended that workshop. Also, strong rain from a thunderstorm hit us before we close for business at 4:30 PM. As a result, there was a brief blackout throughout Ateneo de Manila University. However, generators automatically kicked in to power the building. Once the rainfall subsided, line power was restored and that was the time I went home. So today, I got home late.

Eleventh Day (June 29, 2017)

On this day, I continued working on the A.B. Communication CDs for shelving. I did a lot but there are still more A.B. Communication CDs to finish.

Tenth Day (June 28, 2017)

Today, I finished labeling CDs for A.B. Communication. Now, I have reached half of my total number of hours. Tomorrow, I am going to label CDs for B.S. Health and Sciences, as well as B.S. Chemistry if there are remaining blank jewel cases left.

Ninth Day (June 27, 2017)

I continued labeling CDs, including B.S. Chemistry. But later in the afternoon, 300 remaining jewel cases arrived. So, I resumed encasing A.B. Communication CDs. That's all for today.

Eighth Day (June 24, 2017)

On this day, the archives opened on time. A staff and I were the only ones who got in the office on time. So I was assigned as the reference archivist for the time being until another staff came in. After that interim task, I continued putting spines on A.B. Communication CDs with jewel cases. Once done, I started labeling CDs for B.S. Health Sciences. On Saturdays, the Archives is opened half-day only, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 noon.

Seventh Day (June 23, 2017)

On this day, I continued doing the same thing as the previous day except that I started shelving labeled CDs by course (degree program) followed by name (surname first) followed by year.

Sixth Day (June 22, 2017)

On this day, I continued labeling CDs. However, all of the newly arrived jewel cases have been used already. The next batch of 300 jewel cases on order have not arrived yet. So I put a spine on every used jewel case instead. That's all for this day.

Fifth Day (June 21, 2017)

I continued putting CD spines on existing jewel cases. Right after accomplishing that, I started labeling CDs using the newly ordered jewel cases. I used more than 100 newly ordered jewel cases today. One of the staff organized a birthday party which included free ice cream distribution. Yep, FREE ice cream -- my favorite flavor too. That's all for today.

Fourth Day (June 20, 2017)

I was absent for three working days (June 16, 17 and 19) due to my Cebu trip. But upon my return on this day, I gave each of the five staff a torta cake(?), which I bought from Argao, Cebu. Ma'am Samaniago, my boss, got a special torta cake from me.

I resumed labeling A.B. Communication CDs. Later, I started labeling M.A. Communication CDs. Right after that, I started creating CD spines. Meanwhile, a box containing 200 jewel cases arrived along with other equipment such as Casio calculators. I paused putting CD spines.

Third Day (June 15, 2017)

I continued labeling CDs with jewel cases and temporarily inserting CDs without jewel cases while waiting for jewel cases to arrive.

It is my first day not to bring my own food. Instead, I went to the cafeteria inside Gonzaga Hall for lunch.

I will not be able to work on June 16, 17 and 19 due to my family trip to Cebu. But, I have already informed the staff in advance. So that, they know about my three working day absence.

Second Day (June 14, 2017)

I continued cutting all the printed labels. However, the jewel cases have not yet arrived. So, I listed all the errors in the Ateneo de Manila University Archives database for corrections. After that, I started labeling all the CDs with jewel cases while I temporarily inserted labels for the CDs without jewel cases. That paused my work for the day.

First Day (June 13, 2017)

On my way to my first day of internship, I rode a jeepney to Katipunan where I experienced heavy traffic. Luckily, I was able to arrive at 7:15 AM, which was 15 minutes before the scheduled opening of the Ateneo de Manila University Archives.

The staff first asked me to label all the A.B. Communication theses that contain CD(s) for printing. Meanwhile, they ordered jewel cases. Once all the CD labels are printed, I cut all the printed labels using the paper cutter. That paused my internment by 4:30 PM.
